Although I am the sort of person who rejects routines in every way possible as I hate the thought of my life getting intensively repetitive, I have began to form an Evening routine that is benefiting my appearance as well as my health
As i have ridiculously sensitive skin, it’s proven hard for me to find face products that don’t break my out as well as actually showing good results. However, recently I decided to try the brand ‘Simple’ as there was an offer on their products (cheap skate, I know) but I’ve never been so pleased with my skin after such a sort period of time. I have the Purifying Cleansing Lotion, which I used every night to remove my make up and once the makeup is removed I just massage some into my skin with e clean cotton pad. After using the cleanser I use The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Skin Cleaning Toner – Which as been a love of mine since last Summer- this just wipes any Cleansing lotion that might be clogging my pores away, as well as removing an additional make-up. I wouldn’t recommend using too much of the Tea Tree Toner as the Tea Tree makes it quite strong, you only need a little bit on a cotton pad for it to work – Don’t let the strong smell scare you away, it’s really kind to sensitive skin. I then use the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser to sooth my face, as well as adding moisture which my skin has really been lacking recently due to harsh winter weather conditions. Occasionally I will put a touch of the Balance Me Radiance face oil onto my cheeks for a nice glow, I don’t tend to use this every day or use a lot of it due to having Oily to combination skin, however this is such a lovely product and is the icing on the cake when it comes to skin care, leaving my skin glowing and healthy
The winter weather has also been proving a pain with my hands. Lately my hands have been feeling ridiculously dry due to the wind practically blowing my skin off. I’ve been using Rituals Miracle Balm hand lotion, which has made my hands feel so much softer. It’s a super thick balm and just applying it once a day is enough to keep my hands feeling nice and soft.
I’m usually the type of person that goes to bed ridiculously late, or can never sleep. Or i just watch a stupid amount of films that make me lay in bed and relive them, keeping me awake. Recently I’ve started reading a lot more. I’m currently reading ‘It’s Kind Of A Funny Story’ by Ned Vizzini, the books main subject is depression but I’ve found it really interesting and it’s nice to relate to a book about such a touchy subject.
Additionally I will listen to some ‘soothing’ music whilst reading or just whilst lying in bed just to calm my body and mind (I sound like a hippie, i know) but recently I’ve found such an improvement in how I’m sleeping in comparison to how I usually sleep.
I hope my Evening Routine can somewhat benefit you if you have sensitive skin or trouble sleeping. I have also recently been Vlogging rather than Blogging (sorry)
