There’s not much better than being able to escape from your day to day life for an evening. Last night I had booked me and my boyfriend to stay in the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool – As apart of his 20th birthday present! After a stressful few months of pretty much constantly being on the go, It was honestly so nice to be able to spend some quality time together and not have anything to worry about!
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful! It’s basically located in an old shipping warehouse on the Stanley Docks, further up the Albert Docks. It has that really cool feel of old interior mixed with modern interior – Which is really my style when it comes to decor! The rooms where absolutely massive, you could do cartwheels in them and dance without worrying you’d knock something over (just because you’re in your 20’s doesn’t mean you have to act it!)
I thought I would put together a little bit of a photo diary, as I don’t really tend to take photographs on normal birthdays, however this is one that I wanted to remember, even though it wasn’t my birthday. I think that turning 20 is a big life milestone, goodbye teenage-hood. Let’s welcome being 20 in the best way possible!
The interior of the hotel was amazing! They running theme was that really industrial feel, however the touches of copper to the wooden furniture made it really stylish – We all love a good bit of copper don’t we!
The entire hotel had vast ceilings, every room felt absolutely massive! At the same time there was a really homely and cosy feel to the entire hotel. I loved the window seat that we had in our room. The entirety of my Sunday morning was spent just looking at the water in the dock and wishing I had one in my own bedroom, however the view of my back garden, definitely doesn’t compare! Please excuse my bare faced face in the photo below, it shows just how much I adored that window though!
It wouldn’t be a true Blush & Noise blog post if beauty and fashion weren’t involved, am I right ladies? I went for quite a simple makeup look for the evening using my Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette! I used The Balm’s Mary Louminiser to add a bit of a glow to be cheeks, however I kept it fairly natural face make-up wise and added a red lip to finish the look off!
Outfit wise I wanted to go for something that I’d feel comfortable in going out for dinner as well as something dressy enough to go for some drinks afterwards! I wore this Topshop Petite striped wrap dress, which I think is really flattering and simplistic! I also wore some Zara tie up heels, which I’ve had for sometime now but never worn, so I thought this would be the perfect occasion! To add a bit of colour and to tie my outfit and my makeup together, I wore a bright ted envelope clutch bag! I love how black and white stripes and red looks together! It’s such a timeless look!
I really enjoyed evening as well as my hotel stay, the breakfast in the morning wasn’t something to rant and rave about. However it’s certainly the quality of the rooms that you pay for. I genuinely didn’t want to leave the bed! I had one of the best nights sleep ever!
I thought I would share some photo’s I took on my phone of the night. As usual, Vincent is dancing, probably because the entire evening was my treat though haha! Memories are so much more important than items of clothing, although I paid for us to have this experience, the memories I will always treasure! Everyone deserves a little get away now and again to clear their heads, and I feel like I can start the new week with a polished frame of mind – However I still miss the bed!
