NEW IN THE MAKE-UP STASH

Considering Christmas and my 20th Birthday have just past, I thought I would share with you some of the products that I’ve been gifted or bought myself over the festive period! So many of these products I’ve been lusting over for so long, so to finally have them I feel so lucky! I’m not going to be purchasing any makeup for as long as possible now, other wise the stash is going to be overflowing!

Recently I’ve been wanting to experiment with my makeup, I spoke about this in my 2016 blogging goals, and I’ve already been trying to achieve it! So I’ve been buying some different shades of lipstick and eyeshadow that I wouldn’t usually go for, just so I have some different items to try when I’m feeling a bit experimental! I also received a new camera lens for Christmas, so I thought this would be a nice way to try it out and show you some new products whilst i’m here!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY – FILM STAR BRZONE AND GLOW

I’ve been lusting over this product for SO long now, probably verging on a year! It’s such a luxury item and I’ve been wearing it since it was gifted to my on Christmas! It’s a really beautiful bronze and highlight duo. The bronzer is really silky and matches my skin tone really well, as that’s my main concern with bronzers as with having such pale skin, they can look really over the top sometimes! The highlighter is also incredible, it’s really subtle, however it gives your skin such a radiant and natural looking glow with one simple brush stroke onto your upper cheeks.

MAC LIPSTICKS – PARAMOUNT & HANG UP

We all know that I love a good lipstick! My lipstick collection is forever expanding, lipstick is one of the products that I know I will get a lot of wear out of and I’m very protective of my lipsticks – They’re basically my babies of the makeup stash! The two that I’ve recently bought are Paramount and Hang Up. They’re both red lipsticks with a bit of a twist. Paramount is a Satin red lipsticks with brown undertones, which is really different, and since wearing the lipstick a lot of people have complimented it and said it’s very hollywood glam! The other lipstick is Hang Up, which I’ve not yet tried, however it;s a very deep cherry red, judging by what I’ve swatched! However I’m so excited to try it! I think it would be such a statement lipstick to wear on a night out or even to liven up a casual outfit!

MAC EYESHADOWS – MYTHOLOGY. STAR VIOLET, SHADOW LADY & STORMY PINK PAINT POT

I’ve been really trying not to buy neutral eyeshadows over the past few months! So all of these eyeshadows are purple, which is a colour of eyeshadow that I’ve not really dipped my toes into – However I’ve seen so many people rocking purple eyeshadow and I really wanted to give it a try! All of these shades are from mac. I was gifted Mythology, which is a lustre and is a sort of subtle copper shade which is really wearable, however it just a nice alternative to wearing gold! The rest I purchased myself and I have Shadow Lady which is a really dark, matte purple! Then I have Star Violet which I swatched in the MAC store a while back, but it was sold out! I’m so happy to have it, it’s such a lovely shimmery pink/purple and just really brightens up any dark purples and breaks it up a little! The last thing is a MAC paint pot – Which you all should know I absolutely adore these! I purchased the shade Stormy Pink, which is really beautiful Mauve pink/purple to pop onto my eyelids as a base for when I want to wear a purple eye look rather than my usual neutral browns

CHARLOTTE TILBURY CREAM EYESHADOW – BETTE

As you all know I am a massive fan of cream eyeshadows and for Christmas I was gifted this beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Cream Eyeshadow in the shade Bette. The formula is noticeably different compared to the MAC Cream Eyeshadows that I know and love, it’s almost like a whipped cream texture which feels really lightweight on the eyelids! This shade is absolutely amazing, I love how Charlotte Tilbury shares what colours from her collection work better with different eye colours. This shade is tailored to enhance blue eyes – And that it does! As soon as I popped this onto my eyelids on Christmas Day, I noticed that my eyes looked noticeably brighter and bigger! I love how this is a gold with a twist. It’s almost a cross between gold and copper so it’s a great eyeshadow to wear of an evening or a special occasion!

MAC LINERS – TEDDY KOHL LINER & RUBY WOO LIPLINER

Now onto the items that are crucial to my makeup stash! Lip liners and eyeliners! I am a massive fan of smudging eyeshadows underneath my lower lash line to help enhance my eyes, however I’ve never tried it with brown kohl eyeliner before! I picked up the MAC Kohl Eyeliner in Teddy, this eyeliner is really soft and creamy and blends really easily with a simple smudge brush or with your fingers! This shade is a really beautiful dark warm brown and it really draws a lot of attention and emphasis to your eyes! I’m really wanting to try some more of the MAC Kohl Liners as I have high expectations for them now!

I was also gifted the MAC Lipliner in Ruby Woo, I recently lost my Cherry lipliner from MAC, which I had and used for so long, however I thought it would be nice to try a different red liner for a change! I’ve not get tried this liner, however I think the bolder colours from the MAC lipliner collection can be quite drying on their own, however I think if I was to pair this with a lipstick like Russian Red by MAC, which is a matte formula, however it has quite a creamy finish to it, I think that the combination of the two would be amazing, especially if you’re wanting to achieve that really matte retro red lip look!

URBAN DECAY PALETTES – GWEN STEFANI & NAKED 2 BASICS

Now it’s onto the palettes! I think after this month it’s going to be a very very very long time until I will be buying any eyeshadows again! I was gifted both these palettes and I think they’re going to become some of my most used palettes within my makeup stash! I was given the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette which I am absolutely loving! I’ve been wearing the shade ‘Punk’ practically every day, which is the matte burgundy colour, I’ve been using it in the crease just to add a little hint of colour and dimension to my every day makeup!

My sister also gifted me the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics, which I’ve already been using the life out of! I’m a massive fan of matte neutral eyeshadows, so this palette is the perfect addition to my makeup stash! I’ve been using the colours Frisk and Cover basically everyday. They’re the perfect shades for when you want a bit of definition to your eyes, however you haven’t got the time to begin tediously blending shades together! I genuinely cannot believe my makeup stash hasn’t had this palette within it sooner! A new essential to the stash!

SHOP URBAN DECAY PALETTES

Lastly, I was gifted the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation! I have the original version of this foundation, which I’ve reviewed previously on my blog and I absolutely love it! However I’ve heard a lot of amazing things about this foundation so I’m really excited to try it! I’m so happy to have received this, as recently I’ve been constantly wearing the original formula whenever I wear foundation, and I’ve received so many compliments on it, and had so many people asking what foundation I’m wearing! I’ve not yet tried this foundation, as I want to use up the rest of the original formula before I move onto the new and improved formula, however I have high expectations for this foundation!

What’s new to your makeup stash?

Love,

These are all such amazing picks! Bronze and Glow has been on my beauty wishlist forever, so think I will have to splurge on one in the new year. I'm yet to own any MAC eyeshadows but these all look lovely especially Shadow Lady. I've been really getting into purple shadows lately, to make them more wearable I spend a good minute blending them out haha 🙂 xCharlotte's Road
