HOLOGRAPHIC NAILS? YES PLEASE!

This is a nail combo that I thought it would be an absolute crime for me not to share with you guys! Despite me having a job that is very hands on, painting my nails and have them ‘on fleek’ is something that doesn’t happen very often. I find that whenever I use nail varnishes, they’re usually pretty cheap ones that I purchase on a whim to see if they’re any good. However whilst browsing all of the new high end and super fancy concessions in my local Boots store, I came across the Nails Inc collection and it was just like heart eye emojis everywhere! 

I was very persuaded to purchase some of the polishes from the Alexa Chung range, because why wouldn’t you, Alexa is a hun and to even have nails painted like here’s would be an honour. Despite that in mind, I fell in love with two completely different colours, colours that I never thought I’d be purchasing to be honest, however when I got home and painted my nails I was quite literally running around my house shouting ‘EVERYONE LOOK HOW PRETTY MY NAILS ARE!” which is not something I would usually do, due to the fact my nails usually chip the second I move after painting them! 

The shades that I picked up, because I know you’re all dying  to know right? I picked up Porchester Square, which is a really beautiful greyish lilac, like how amazing is this colour? I also purchased their holographic top coat, which doesn’t show up as amazing on the photos, however in different lights the glitter shines different colours, like something holographic would. It’s such a unique and cool combination, like I would literally stare at them all day, not because I was vain, but because they’re just so pretty! 

As I said previously, and the main reason why I never paint my nails, is because they just chip so so easily and then it’s basically a waste of time and product as I have to take them all off! However the quality of these nail polishes is absolutely incredible. Due to Porchester Square belonging to the Gel Effect range, it’s pretty much like you’ve just gotten shellac nails, the finish is exactly like shellac, however it’s minus the fuss, time and cost of getting them done! I wore these nails for about a week before I decided to retire back to my boring old nails, however in the week that I wore them and the amount of jobs and activities that involve me cleaning and picking things up and really fiddly activities, these nails barely chipped. I swear there was about 3 minor chips at the end of the week, which for me is absolutely amazing as I just have no luck with nail polishes what so ever!
