It’s only a few more days until Valentines Day ladies and gents, the panic is on! Whether you’re celebrating with your loved one, or kicking it GALentines day with your gal pals, then I’ve got you covered on the outfit front! Whether you’re wining and dining or having a night on the town dancing your cares away, I think I’ve found an outfit that will sort you out, no matter what it may be – Well, unless you’re going bowling or doing something somewhat athletic!
This outfit is super simple, however it looks classy and fun! Everyone’s got some lovely black evening wear somewhere in their wardrobes! You shouldn’t feel the need to splash the cash on an outfit, keep it simple, keep it classy, keep it black and simple – That’s my motto (it’s not my motto is eat cake, then eat more cake, but same difference, right?)
The key is to comfortable, If you’re on your very first date with someone, you HAVE to be comfy in what you’re wearing – you won’t be yourself if you can’t relax! This bodysuit is SO comfortable, bodysuits are really popular at the minute, so if you don’t have one, you can most likely get one super cheap from H&M or even New Look! It’s a jersey material and the issue of your top riding up or constantly needing to be tucked into your skirt is avoided – So if you’re out with your friends, you can dance the night away without a worry – or eat all the food!
The skirt is slightly peplum at the bottom, it comes in until your upper thigh and then comes out into a really girly frill! This just adds something a little bit more fun and interesting to the outfit without taking it too far! I decided to smarten up the look with a blazer, it’s still winter and very cold here in the UK, so you don’t want to be shivering! This blazer is houndstooth, so once again it just adds an interesting and fun element to your look, additionally making it look a bit more smarter and chic in the process!
Lastly, I decided to wear this amazing Zandra Rhodes handbag, this just finishes this look off completely! Adding the extra element of fun and quirky to this minimalistic and comfortable outfit! The bag is black velvet and is in the shape of a sea shell, it’s the perfect conversation starter if you’re on a first date! “is that a shell?” “Urm, yeah! I’m a mermaid!” – Who wouldn’t want to fall in love with a mermaid? The thing I love most about this bag though, has got to be the size. When I leave the house, I like to fill by bag with items that will save me in any type of emergency, plasters, headache tablets, food.. I basically carry everything but the kitchen sink! The bag is just a nice medium size so I can fit in all the essentials to ensure I can have a stress free evening!
