So, It’s finally March and it’s time for the weather to begin to brighten and get warmer! I feel as though the Winter has lasted an eternity here in the UK, I’m feeling positive and excited for the Summer, no University and a whole load of Summer plans!
No month feels truly complete until I’ve shared with you my favourites of the month, this month I’ve kept it strictly beauty favourites as there’s going to be some up and coming fashion and music posts and I didn’t want to ruin anything by including them, so if you’re a complete beauty binge like myself, this ones for you..
MAC LIPSTICK | HONEY LOVE (MATTE)
Obviously, no beauty favourites would be complete without some sort of lip product, by now you should know that I’m a complete lipstick fanatic and this month I’d be lying if I was to tell you I hadn’t bought some new lip products (I’ve bought 7 to be exact, sorry not sorry.) However I’ve been loving Mac’s honey love, I bought this after I’d had an absolutely horrendous day, went into Mac and tried a few out and this came out top of what I tried! HOW has this been missing from my life for this long? It’s such a creamy matte formula, and it’s so different from any neutral shades that I have, It’s a pink/brown however it has some terracotta undertones to it, which makes the lipstick look like a nude, however it’s just simply gorgeous, it’s a nude that doesn’t wash me out, so that’s a massive bonus!
ILLMASQUA BROW CAKE | MOTTO
I’ve been on the hunt for a new eyebrow powder for a while now, I have really cool toned light brown brows, despite having naturally blonde hair, my eyebrows have always been a lot darker, whenever I get my brows tinted, they’re always like “are they naturally this dark, have you had them tinted recently” and I’m like nope not had them tinted in 6 months.. So finding a brow powder that matches my brows and that isn’t too warmed toned it a chore, but then I came across this little beaut! It’s basically a greyish brown, so it goes with my ash toned brows perfectly! I’ve been using this with a wet angled liner brush and I’ve been loving it, it fills them in so well and naturally I genuinely cannot fault it!
MAC LIPLINER | SPICE
I’ve had this lip liner for a few months now and for some reason I’d never used it, I literally must be insane or have the memory of a goldfish to forget that I had this! It’s a really beautiful pinky-brown, it’s described on Mac’s website as “pink cinnamon stick” which I agree with as it’s more on the brown side however it’s got quite a warm toned pink shade to it! It’s just so beautiful and it works so well with so many of my neutral lip shades! Massive love for this liner and I’m so happy that I remembered that I owned it!
MAKE UP FOR EVER | ULTRA HD FOUNDATION
Okay, so if you know me or you read my blog often, then you will know that I spend so much time and money trying to find the perfect foundation for my sensitive, pale and oily/combination skin, it’s a nightmare! With foundations I like a build-able coverage as not always do I want a super full covered face! I’ve tried the MUFE HD foundation and loved it, so I decided to try the Ultra HD version, as it looked very promising! It’s lived up to all my expectations! I absolutely love this foundation, it’s a decent coverage, it’s the right colour for my skin and it’s just the right about of matte, my skin still looks healthy, however I don’t feel the need to frequently powder my T-Zone!
LO’REAL LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA | SO COUTURE
This month saw me in desperate need of a new mascara! Personally I never think too much of mascaras, as I have quite thick and long lashes naturally – Probably the one thing I have an ounce of confidence about – I’ve heard good things about Lo’Real’s range of mascaras, so I decided to give this one a try. I must admit at first I was sceptical, as it’s a wand similar to the Benefit They’re Real mascara, and I absolutely hated that wand! However I find this one to be a lot softer despite it being a plastic wand. When I wear this I find my lashes stay long, black and curled all day! A brilliant mascara that deserves all the positive reviews!
NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM | STOCKHOLM
I’ve been really getting into liquid lipsticks throughout February – There will be some reviews on my favourite ones coming soon, so this won’t be the last time this product will be getting a mention! Out of all the formulas I’ve tried, the NYX ones are up there with my favourites, they’re really soft in texture, almost like a whipped cream formula, however they don’t dry my lips out anywhere near as much as your regular matte lipstick would – Which I’m surprised about! I love the shade also, it matches perfectly with the ‘Spice’ lipliner, so I’ve got a good little lip combo to see my through the Spring!
BUMBLE & BUMBLE THICKENING DRYSPUN FINISHING SPRAY
No very often do I get excited about hair products, however after trying this out when a friend recommended it to me, my mind was pretty much blown! This is basically like back combing in a can, however I wouldn’t even dare backcomb my hair, so this is a gift sent from heaven! I’m the kind of girl that doesn’t really do much with her hair, product wise anyway, I don’t really use hair spray or shine spray or whatever else, however sometimes I feel as though my hair is flat, but with a few sprays of this my hair is full of volume! You need to try this if you’re lazy like me when it comes to styling your hair – This stuff is amazing!
This month I’ve been LOVING Morphe brushes! I decided that there were a few crucial brushes missing from my collection, so I decided to try out some from Morphe, I genuinely cannot fault these brushes, they’re soft, they clean well and most of all the blend like a dream! I’ve always wanted to try some super fluffy eyeshadow blending brushes, so I picked up two to see what I like best, but I love them both, they just finish of my eyes perfectly and save me so much time and tedious effort when it comes to blending my eyeshadow! As well as being absolutely amazing, they’re really affordable, you better stock up before I literally buy them all!
I hope you enjoyed my February favourites, what have you been loving this month?
