Prepare yourself for your mouth to water, I know mine does when it comes to looking at pictures of food, massive apologies if you’re hungry, or you’re reading this waiting for your takeaway on Sunday night! I was invited to Jamies Italian to sample their new evening menu, which is available Monday – Thursday from 6pm!
The menu has such a wide variety, there’s something for everyone from pasta, to burgers there’s plenty to chose from! Being a vegetarian it was nice to have a choice as usually I’m stuck with some stogy mushroom risotto, that is bland and unpleasing! However the choice was a delight to have! It’s a welcoming family friendly environment, perfect for any occasion and the new evening menu makes it even more perfect for those wanting to eat out with their family and friends and not spend a fortune however still receive a delicious meal! You can book a table by ckicking – here– and see what the menus like for yourself! I visited the Liverpool One restaurant and everything from the interiors to the atmosphere was just perfect!
STARTERS
Let’s start with starters, I unsurpsingly went for the Ultimate Garlic Bread, I love garlic, I love bread, what’s not to like? I must say this is actually one of the best garlic breads I’ve ever tried, the bread was so soft and buttery, it could have melted in my mouth but I was too eager to eat it to let that happen! The Ultimate Garlic Bread is filled with garlic butter, bella lodi and rosemary, a delicious threesome when it comes to garlic bread! I found that this what quite big for a starter, considering it’s basically an entire loaf of bread, that’s didn’t prevent me in completely inhaling it in about 5 seconds though! My boyfriend got the Italian Pate Bruschetta, which was presented so beautifully, and looked absolutely delicious! So judging by the fact the starters where demolished in record timings, they where pretty good, especially considering the price of them!
MAIN COURSE
For my main course, I went for the veggie burger! I’m on the hunt to find an outstanding veggie burger that really impresses me, so inevitably I was drawn to try this out! The veggie patty consisted of herbs and seeds, chickpeas and soya beans accompanied by marinaded feta and a coleslaw! The first few bits where delicious and I was very impressed, however as I continued to eat it, the patty just become drier and drier, I think veggie burgers can be quite dry anyways however I think if there was to be some sauces and a melted cheddar thrown into the mix, this issue would be resolved, I found that the feta just wasn’t the cheese to complete this burger, I needed some melted mature cheddar in my life not going to lie! The chips however where amazing, they had a dusting of paprika, which is literally my favourite thing!
DESERT
Desert has a massive place in my heart, there’s always room for desert, always! I went for the Amalfi Lemon Meringue Cheesecake, I’m a sucker when It comes to Lemon Meringue, so it was not surprise that I went for this! Thinking back, I can’t actually remember what it tastes like as I ate it that quickly! All I can remember was that It was delicious! I loved the lemon curd that surrounded it, it was so tangy and sweet and paired with the meringue it was simply amazing!
DRINKS
Now onto drinks! For the first round of drinks I went for the homemade lemonade, which was so refreshing! If you know me, you know that I’m a lover of anything lemon flavoured! The lemonade was really sweet however it still had that lemony zing which I love! For the second round of drinks we decided to try some cocktails, my boyfriend went for the Sicilian Daiquiri, which I tasted and it really lived up to my lemon-loving tastes! I asked that waiter what he’d recommend, he was a gin lover like myself, however I said I liked gin paired with something sweet, so he made me a special cocktail of gin, elderflower and cloudy apple juice! This was a divine combination and it was so lovely of them to make one up for me!
SERVICE
The service was some of the best service that I’ve ever received, the food was quick and efficient, the staff where friendly and accommodating! Literally everything you could want in a restaurant experienced we received! The guy who served us constantly made sure we had drinks and everything we needed to make our evening enjoyable, which was really refreshing! As usually service consists of the handing over of food and money and that’s it! I literally cannot fault service what-so-ever!
If you’re around Liverpool 1 of a weekday evening, I suggest that you take a wonder into Jamie’s Italiain! If you’re a lover of traditional Italian food, with a contemporary twist this is the place for you and I can ensure you that at least one thing on the menu with tantalise your taste buds!

Mmm this looks lovely. I've always wanted to try a Jamie's Italian and having a full loaf of bread as a starter definitely makes me want to try it more lol.– Pretty Mad Things .. x o
Literally drooling over the picture of the garlic bread, my god it looks good. I've been to the Jamie's Italian in Sydney and I wish we had a location in Melbourne, I really loved the food there. Though I got pasta and not a burger!www.thesundaymode.blogspot.com.au
