Over the past few months, my collection of Liquid Lipsticks has grown rapidly, it’s been a serious ‘started from the bottom now we here’ situation. I started off just trying a few out, just casually paying an interest, but now I’m hooked! My collection is slowly getting out of control, so I thought why not justify my fast growing collection and share them!

Obviously, I’m still obsessed with the mauve pinks and brown tone pinks, however these are the nurtural shades that I opt for on a daily basis, and that’s sort of the purpose of a liquid lipstick, to have a long lasting and easily applied lipstick-eque product! There’s so many brands that have liquid lipsticks within their collections and it can be quote overwhelming, so I thought I would condense some of ranges that I’ve tried and tested and give a brief over view of what I think of their staying power, finish and pigmentation!  I’ve condensed my list into my highest recommendations, to make your voyage into the liquid lipstick realm that little bit easier!

Colourpop is a brand that Isn’t too easily accessible in the UK, so I took to Amazon, where they sell quite a large selection of the Colourpop range. I picked up this shade ‘Beeoer’ as I was on the hunt for a pink/brown that was wearable and long-lasting, especially after all of the Kylie Lip Kit hope I couldn’t help but search for something similar. The pigmentation of the colour pop matte liquid lipsticks are amazing, however I’m personally not a massive fan of the finish, I find them a little too matte, which leads to my lips looking cracked however I do suffer from chapped lips so I think if you used a lip conditioner before hand, you’d get a really good finish. On terms of staying power I found if I ate or drank with this product on my lips, the centre would face and I’d be left looking as though my lip liner had gone a little over the top!

Staying Power : 4

Pigmentation : 5

Finish : 3

The NYX Soft Matte Lip creams are AMAZING! I think I’ve told SO many people about them and encouraged them to give them a go! I love their shade collection, I currently own, Stockholm, Athens and Milan, which are all within the mauve pink family however some as slightly more brown and Milan is slightly on the intense pink side! The lipstick I’m going to talk about is Stockholm, as this is seriously the pretties colour and if you’re going to select one shade to try, this would be the one that I would urge you to go for! It’s more of a terracotta pink, similar to Mac’s spice lip liner. The formula I can only describe has feeling slightly whipped, it’s not your usual runny liquid lipstick consistency, it’s quite light and almost weightless on the lips. The staying power isn’t as good as it could be however putting the light consistency into consideration, because the formula isn’t heavy and thick, it’s not overly noticeable when you drink or eat, you don’t get that awkward ‘bad lip liner’ look

Staying Power : 4

Pigmentation : 5

Finish : 5

Now onto a brand that the world of beauty just can’t seem to get enough of and I finally understand why, the everlasting liquid lipstick range is overwhelming in itself, there’s so many amazing shades to chose from I was honestly stuck for choice, the 3 colours I own are Lolita, Bow ‘n’ Arrow and Lovesick, each are so unique and 100% worth the money! I’m going to focus on Lolita, as I feel as though that’s one of the most popular shades from the collection and it’s also the shade that I wear most! Lolita looks different on various skin tones, which I think is what’s apart of it’s charm, on me it’s like a rose chestnut shade, there’s those plum-pinks shining through as well as those warm brown tones, this shade is so unique and I’ve tried a lot of pink/browns! The pigmentation is outstanding as you’d expect from Kat Von D, however the only criticism I have about the liquid lipsticks is that a steady hand is required, if you go out of line or over draw your lips too much, it is really noticeable and it’s quite difficult to fix and if you don’t hydrate your lips before hand after a few hours the lipstick does start to appear dry, however this is avoidable!

Staying Power : 4

Pigmentation : 5

Finish : 5

Gerard Cosmetics is another brand that I rant and fave about to everyone around me, I’ve got my best friend (from Bitchin’ Blonde) hooked on this line of liquid lipsticks too, which is handy as she has different shades to me, so we can share! There’s also an in-depth review on her blog so be sure to check it out here! My favourite shade out of their collection haas to be ‘Cher’ this shade is quite similar to Lolita in some senses, however the shades are a lot more cooled tone I would say, sometimes resulting in the lipstick looking almost tinged purple, which is so unique! I love how hydrating this range is, the range lives up to its name and for the price they’re absolutely outstanding! Similarly to the Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks, you do have to be careful when you apply, however the Gerard Cosmetics range are a lot easier to correct as they’re slightly more tacky, which I wouldn’t usually like however I think that adds to the hydration and finish of the lipsticks!

Staying Power : 5

Pigmentation : 5

Finish : 4

I hope you enjoyed this post and that you feel somewhat enlightened into the world of Liquid Lipsticks! If you have any recommendations then send them my way as there’s always room for more right?

See you on Wednesday!

I love Colourpop's Beeper! It is a bit drying but I find if I build up thin layers, letting each dry fully, it stays put through absolutely every and anything!DippyWrites

I loved this roundup! Gerard Cosmetics has definitely been on my radar, and I don't think I've seen a bad review yet. My favorite are the KVD liquid lipsticks as they are the most comfortable on the lips. Second are the Stila ones as those seriously stay on all day without budging around. I'm keen to try the Dose of Colors and Jeffree Star ones as those seem to be pretty great, long lasting, and highly pigmented! Cindy | http://www.cindyhyue.com

I'm not a massive fan of the NYX creams if I'm honest! I prefer the Liquid Sued. have you tried them? The formula is great! I've heard so much about the Kat Von D lippies, they sound amazing.JessPhilocalist.co.uk

Such a great round up of all the different types as you say it can be overwhelming! I've tried the Kat von d and NYX and I love them both. I have the ultra matte satin lipsticks from Colourpop and they are less drying and more hydrating so they might be a good option for you! Lucy | lucyalana.blogspot.co.uk

I always love to see people talk about the Colourpop Ultra Mattes, but it's a shame you don't love them as much as I do! They're one of my favourite liquid lip formulas!brooke | brooke elise
