SUMMER TRENDS WISHLIST

This summer the high-street and catwalk have been littered with so many amazing trends! From raw frayed denim to frills and lace, there’s so many trends that I can’t help but adore! I’ve recently been inspired by the/FarFetch summer content pack, which is packed full of interesting blogger interviews and summer trends such as their ‘Safari Chic’ trend which combines modern tribal inspired patterns and tribal inspired 90’s checkers and statement accessories! I’ve decided to share some of the items that I’ve been lusting over that will see you perfect through the Summer! 

1. ASOS TIERED DRESS IN MIX FLORAL PRINT – £45 

I’ve been eyeing up this dress for sometime now and I think it’s a constant obsession to check up on it on a daily basis whenever I’m aimlessly browsing the ASOS website! I love how this is a really delicate mix of the sort of safari trend as mentioned in the Farfetch summer content pack – The mix of patterns and colours really gives the dress those ‘tribal vibes’ the added detail of the tiered ruffles also showcases the summer ruffles trend that I’ve literally been crushing over – My wardrobe is slowly being overtook by ruffles! 

2. TOPSHOP SILVER ROUND HEEL SHOES – £46 

Metallic’s are absolutely EVERYWHERE! I’ve been loving the Metallic silver shoes craze that slowly making a statement on the high street this season, I think it’s a simple way to really jazz up an outfit, whether it be for a night out when you want your dancing shoes to make a statement, or on a day-to-day basis when you’re just wanting to add something a little bit exciting to your usual jeans and a t-shirt! These shoes from ASOS are really retro inspired, so I think paired with a 60’s inspired swing dress on a night out, you’ll be good to go! 

3. ZARA WHITE POPLIN PLAYSUIT – £19.99 (SALE)

You can’t go wrong with a classic white summer piece can you? I think this playsuit just screams adorable, however I feel as though there’s so many alternative and fun ways you can style this piece to tailor it to your mood or style inspiration of that day! I’d personally add a bit of edge to this classic babydoll smock style playsuit and add a pair of fishnet tights, some layered necklaces and a leather biker jacket, perfect for the unpredictable UK weather! 

4. ASOS ROUND FAUX FUR BAG – £13 (SALE) 

A bag is a really easy way to make a subtle statement! I love the rich red colour of this bag, and despite it being small I think that it would make a dramatic update to an outfit (and it’s in the sale!) Similarly to the silver shoes, I think this bag is an accessory that can be a fun element to both day time and evening outfits! Maybe you’re like me and enjoy the simpler things in life, add a cute statement bag and you’re bound to channel your inner fashionista, easy! 

5. ASOS TOP IN DOBBY MESH WITH RUFFLE DETAIL – £22 

This top though! I think i’m in love! There’s nothing I love more then mesh, lace and of course my favourite summer trend, ruffles! This top is exactly my style, quite cute and retro inspired however with a bit of a ‘modern romance’ twist! This top would look so cool paired with a vintage wash pair of mom jeans for a super casual look, or even super gothic by wearing a leather skirt and some fishnet tights! This top will be perfect if you’re traveling somewhere hot this summer, as it will cover you up yet keep you cool, both temperature wise and style! 

6. BOOHOO FRAYED HEM MINI SKIRT – £18 

Frayed hem lines is a recent trend that’s been hitting the catwalks and I’m SO happy that it’s started to make an appearance on the hughstreet! This frayed mini skirt is all the Summer style goals rolled into one isn’t it? You’ve got that timeless mid-wash denim look that just screams ‘vintage’! The fraying just adds a really cool and modern update to a wardrobe staple! Perfect to match with the timeless plain white tea and some black converse for a relaxed and chilled look this Summer!
