SHE’S ELECTRIC

Lately the sun has been shining! How long will it actually last is what everyone is actually thinking though, you can’t please us Brits when it comes to weather, if its raining we moan for sun and if it’s sunny well, we can’t quite handle it! Last week I spent the entire week in sunny Manchester, dipping my feet into a professional work environment and trying to enjoy the sun whilst it lasted!

As you may know, I’m not the biggest fan of Summer, simply because I just don’t know how to dress! I find dressing to my taste or preferred style so much easier in the Autumn/Winter months, however this year I’ve actually really been trying to get ‘in touch’ with my inner beach babe and channel some Summer style! My go-to during the Summer has to be a Summer dress with a bit of a twist, the twist being a pair of fish net tights and black ankle boots, not very daring however practical for a day in the city!

I find this dress so flattering, the moment I saw it on ASOS, I put off buying it for so long as I wasn’t sure how I could make it work. However I think with a few grunge touches, the dress doesn’t make me look like a child playing dress up – Being just about 5ft, this is something that I genuinely live in fear of! The boots are one of my most recent purchase! I’ve been eyeing these up all Summer, even though a pair of leather boots are stereotypically a Autumn/Winter staple item, I’ve really been enjoying styling them with some Summery pieces, I think they just add a little edge to an outfit!
