Achieving the perfect Parisian style is one of my life goals – As well as getting to visit the beautiful city that I’ve forever dreamt of, obviously. There’s just something about Paris that I can’t help but love. It’s the way their locals dress and carry themselves so effortlessly, to me, they’re the definition of cool. Whenever I tell people that I’ve never been to Paris, they often reply with a shocked remark. It’s probably because I like to think of myself as a Wannabe-Parisian. So inevitably, it’s now become a goal for me to visit Paris and give my Parisian alter ego a time to shine.
As Paris is my dream city to visit, I’ve teamed up with Liverpool John Lennon Airport to share and discover how to make your trip or your up and coming plans in Paris that little bit more easier with John Lennon Airport’s very own guide to Paris, it’s made it so easy to put the trip into perspective and find out how to travel efficiently, the best places to stay and the tourist landmarks you should have on your to-do list!
Once you’ve got your trip sorted, it’s time to consider what you should be packing so, of course, I’ve put together a Parisian inspired Spring time look so that you can walk the streets of the city of love feeling like you truly belong!
MY PARISIAN SUITCASE MUST-HAVES
To me, Parisian style has that effortless girl-next-door vibe in which I completely envy! It’s all about the freedom to express who you are, and of course, show off your pins – Seriously though, does everyone in Paris have amazing legs or what? The famous mini skirt was actually born in Paris, long before the swinging sixties in the UK. The first mini skirt was commissioned by French fashion designer Jean Patou in the 1920’s and was worn by French tennis champion Suzanne Leglen at the Olympics (I mean, could she have a more suiting surname?) The mini skirt empowers women and I think that’s exactly what a Parisian woman is empowered, elegant and simply charming.
I’ve put together some pieces that will well and truly at the Parisian appeal to your wardrobe. It’s all about ‘less is more’ and combining the classic wardrobe items such as loafers and feminine blouses with vintage finds and accessories that completely pull the look together and give it that ‘jen ne sais quoi”

THE MOST FAMOUS PARISIANS ARE FOREIGN…
(YEAH, I’M SURPRISED TOO)
Let this be a huge note to self, that you don’t actually need to be Parisian to be Parisian. Don’t believe me? Here’s some examples that will really put your Parisian dream into perspective. Let’s take the beautiful and inspiring Jane Birkin for example. This woman is a Parisian dream! Charming, fun and one of my biggest style icons to grace the planet. Jane is a British singer and actress but was reborn by the Parisian lifestyle and will never be forgotten with the infamous song “Je T’aime…mon mon plus” with Serge Gainsbourg. Jane’s style is utterly timeless; Jeans, trenchcoats, button ups and blazers. So Parisian, so chic, so Jane.
I hope you all enjoyed this post and you’re now as fascinated by the Parisian lifestlye as I am. Remember you can check out all the city guides from Liverpool John Lennon Airport here! They’re really helpful in allowing you to make the most of your city break!
