4 Reasons You Won’t Want To Miss Bluedot Festival 2019.

This post contains gifted content.

Make Some Noise For Bluedot!

Are you on the hunt for a Festival with a difference? Something that’s filled with amazing artists and combines science with your love for music? Well, let me introduce you to Bluedot Festival, as I think I may have found the Festival for you.

I’ve been attending festivals for the past 6 years, and although I LOVE them, after sometime, they do become a bit repetitive, however, this year I’m attending Bluedot and I wanted to share my Top 4 reasons why you won’t want to miss it in 2019! It’s a festival with such a fun difference and the line-up so far is literally SO good.

Taking place 18-21 July, Bluedot – the award-winning festival that fuses music, science and culture at Cheshire’s iconic Jodrell Bank Observatory, so not only is the festival fusing together 2 loves of mine, it’s in such a cool location!

What Is Bluedot Festival?

Entering its fourth year, bluedot is an award-winning independent festival by From the Fields – owners and organisers of Kendal Calling and Off the Record – and Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. With a mandate to provide amazing, challenging and entertaining content for all the family, bluedot fuses an incredible mix of artists, speakers, scientists and performers into an event unlike any on earth.

4 Reasons You Won’t Want To Miss Bluedot Festival in 2019…

  • More Culture Than You Can Comprehend

With Festivals, I think it’s important to have other ongoings – as well as the music, of course. I want my Festivals experience to be much more than the artists that are playing. Bluedot have SO many different activities for people of all ages and with a variety of interests to enjoy. From Science talks to Mixology there really is something to spark joy this Summer.

Bluedot 2019 promises another mind-expanding programme of talks and panel discussions with leading scholars from around the World. The DotTalks programme spans across the festival including in the Star Pavilion and Mission Control and will this year feature headline speakers including Liz Bonnin, Jim Al-Khalili, Tom Shakespeare, Helen Pankhurst, Libby Jackson, Sue Nelson and Dallas Campbell.

  • The Lineup!

Obviously, the lineup is the main reason to attend a festival, it’s what gets you excited to go when you’re listening to your favourite artists during the buildup to the festival. I’m honestly so excited for every single one of the headliners, there’s New Order, Kraftwerk & Hotchip. I’ve seen New Order before at Glastonbury and they where truly spectacular, so having the chance to see them again is a dream come true.

  • Camping Options

So many people I know are put off by festivals simply because of the camping situations, however, never in my life have I seen so many accommodation options than what Bluedot have to offer. You can pay for tents that have double beds, electricity and wooden floor. In all honesty, that’s probably better than any apartment I’ve lived in, for real!

  • David Attenborough’s Jungle Boogie

You heard me right, David Attenborough’s Jungle Boogie. When I saw this on the lineup, my eyes lit up and I texted my boyfriend straight away because this is RIGHT up our street.

As an avid fan of both nature and Disco, his ‘Jungle Boogie’ will see the two worlds collide. Expect a vintage Attenborough blend of House, Disco, Funk & Soul in what is set to be the best party on Planet Earth!

Day tickets are now on sale, priced £59.75 per person. Full weekend camping tickets start from £169. For tickets and details please visit: discoverthebluedot.com
